Hello! Welcome to my website! My name is Shelly. Here you will find an eclectic collection of original art I have created. I have been sketching for as long as I can remember. My mother taught me as a child and I have always enjoyed the quiet serenity creating art provides. I started with graphite and charcoal, which I used for most of my life, and taught myself to paint in 2016. I am daily growing and learning as an artist. Writing and creating art have always been an outlet for me. Art, much like writing, tells a story that can only be fully interpreted by individual perspectives. My purpose in life is to positively impact others and the world. As someone who works in the healing arts, it is my dharma to hold hope for those who are unable to feel it within themselves until they are able to carry it for themselves. I hope you enjoy my art!

​Shelly Werts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing mental health therapy, as well as a Reiki Practitioner, Warrior Goddess Training Facilitator, Yoga Teacher, Peristeam Facilitator, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, with a focus on women’s health and empowerment. Shelly is also the owner of Lotus Counseling Wellness Center located in Louisville, KY.
